if there were better resolution you could see the red light on the power supply, the BIOS displaying on the monitor, and the power supply's output via USB on the laptop...

the power supply you see on the back of the stove is a regular PC power supply, which provides 12 volts (simulating my car battery) to the DC->DC power supply to the left of the motherboard.

plan B: acrylic cement. cut your acrylic into small pieces, add acetone, put a cap on it and watch the plastic melt to create a glue as strong as the plastic itself...
